Going Skiing!

Its official - we're going skiing in 2009! Thanks to Katie's brother Adam we will be going to Avoriaz, France at the end of February which means for the first time I will be celebrating my birthday (my 25th) on the slopes. There's five of us going: myself, Katie, Adam, his friend Robbie and my friend Neil who will be the snow virgin this time round. Dissappointingly he wants to join the dark side and do snowboarding instead of skiing, the heathen! Never mind - he is down south for the weekend so we can spend some time and money looking for equipment for the both of us.
The resort looks fantastic - we can ski right to the door of our self catered apartments, hundreds of runs available and we can even pop over into neighbouring Switzerland for a spot of lunch if we fancy! If anybody else has been there before and knows of any secret wonders there let me know! Additionally, items added to a non-existent Christmas list - new ski trousers and boots! I think its time to invest in a pair as this is will be our (Katie and myself) 4th outing and whilst hired boots are capable of doing the job they can rub and be painful after a few days. I'd like some flash (not dull grey) and comfortable fittings this time.
So......ner-ner-ne-ner-ner! :P
