I have a terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side...

Well, not quite but I have been rather depressed recently.

The whole redundancy really messed up a good opportunity for me and I was really beginning to like CMC Markets when I was told to go - the long commute meant I had to spend at least 2 hours each day working on home projects.  Now I have a short commute I find it hard to motivate myself to put in nearly the same amount of time.

Its not only my projects that have suffered either: my running has taken a massive fall over the past 2 weeks, proven by today's run.  I'm slower than when I began and couldn't finish the distance.  All that hard work has gone to waste after too much drinking and no movement.  Coupled with the fact that the British Red Cross denied my application for a golden bond place further demoralised me.

As a result I refuse to let this beat me and I am going to try my upmost to beat this depression by scheduling time for my projects, following a 10k training plan as oppose to a marathon and a severe reduction in drinking during the week.  If this works I should be fit and ready for skiing next February, ready to make some good times in public 10ks and weathering the storm of this economic crisis.

On a side note, Christmas is coming up so could people let me know what they want?  I might put up a wish list on this site, starting with the ridiculous and ending with little knick-knacks.
