Big Update

Once again I have succumbed to laziness and forgotten to update this site. However, in my defense a lot has happened and I am working on a number of things at the moment.

Redundancy

First of all, I have been put at high risk of redundancy at CMC Markets so I am now looking for new work, despite having only been there for 3 months. The credit crunch is affecting everyone at the moment but I am confident I'll find something new soon.

Paris trip

Katie and I have just returned from a week long trip in Paris. It was a great time, as was the food and drink. The weather could have been better but it wasn't bad enough to ruin it. Photos are up.

I have been working on my sister's website recently and it should hopefully be completed and running very soon!

Start New Job Today

Today I start my first day at CMC Markets - I've been looking forward to this for a while now as it means I actually have something to do today and it signals the start of a new lifestyle, particularly the commuting part!

Secured a New Job, Climbing and Running

After a few weeks of constant searching I have finally landed the role of Junior Web Developer for CMC Markets. They seem to be a really exciting company and judging by the offer I've been made they look after their employees.

Additionally, I've been keeping myself fit as Katie and I started our beginners climing training which was a throughly enjoyable two hours of climbing and literally learning the ropes. Our next session is on Tuesday where we practice what happens if either of us falls!

Finally, an old school friend of mine and I rekindled a running partnership as we accidentally ran 15km yesterday. We're hoping to keep it up as it'll mean we'll get very fit very quickly.

Gone to seek my fortune!

Well, that's it - I've moved! The guys were very kind to give me a proper send off (although others would probably call it an attempted murder with ethanol)! So now I have a few days to myself whilst I wait for the next employer. Its a very strange feeling having all this free time - hopefully I'll use it to do a few home projects, including an update to this site using a PHP MVC model. Watch this space!

Relocation

The closest of you among me will know by now that I have officially handed in my notice at Renovo marking the end of a 22 month stint there. Its amazing how time has flown, I feel only arrived last week. Alas I think it is time for me to move on. I am contracted to stay for one month and then I leave for good.

As such I am relocating to London for work. If you happen to know anybody around there and feel I could do some good please get in touch. I would preferably like to be involved with the gaming industry if possible but any roles will be considered.
