More races

It looks like this is going to be my busiest race year yet. I have signed up for two more races: The Great Capital Run which is a 10k race in Hyde Park, London and I've entered the ballot for the Great North Run. The draw for the latter is on the 12th so I'll find out between then and the 16th if I'm running in this event.

Those who have been reading my training blog will know by now I still haven't actually started training because I was quite ill last week and this week its been snowing (or at least threatening to). Since I just came off the cold I didn't want to get it back.

On Holiday

From the 20th January to the 27th I am on a skiing holiday at Borovets in Bulgaria. Went there last year and had a great time so really looking forward to going again. Hope to make more daring runs this time and consume less of the 70p per 500ml beer. We're also staying in a 4 star hotel called Rila which is literally at the bottom of the slope.

Unfortunately the only way to contact me will have to be via phone: not entirely sure my mobile will work there but I guess you can try the hotel if you can find the number.

Update: There is no snow....only managed 10 hours of skiing. :(

Update 2: The hotel is on fire....

Back in Blighty: We managed to get back to Surrey at 0230 today, tired and cold. I'll be back in Manchester this afternoon so look forward to some photos and a summary!

Great Manchester Run

Once again I have signed up for the Great Manchester Run: our fifth voyage together. I hope this year to do better than ever before, maybe even break that troublesome 40 minute mark! Please keep encouraging me to train!

Great Ireland Run

I have signed up for the Great Ireland Run of 2007 to be held on the 15th April. Its a 10 kilometre race around Dublin and will act as an excellent warm up for the Great Manchester Run in May. I'll be heading out there on the 14th with Katie and back on the 16th (after a quick trip to the Guinness brewery I hope!)

Website Finally Launches

Finally! Welcome to my brand spanking new website which I have hand crafted since about October last year. Its been a roller-coaster of emotions and difficulties with this site, from programming technicalities up to waiting for server changes to occur.

The principal reason for this site came about when I had been asked to join the umpteenth new social networking site. All these sites in essence are great, each with their own little perks. However, there are so many that in order to satisfy all of your friends, you have to join them all. If they each have a blog section (which I would like to start) then you have to update each and every one of them! This is time-consuming and tedious.

Since I have disappeared of a lot of social radars recently I have decided to join all these sites but refer visitors to this one central point. It also gives me an opportunity to have a completely bespoke system and keep my web development skills up to scratch.

There isn't much up at the moment but rest assured it will be updated regularly. Over time this will get better hopefully. Thank you for visiting.
