Portfolio Item: Lab Escape (Individual Game Development)
Its not often that you receive an e-mail from a Lead Programmer at Sony saying that a prototype you've sent as part of an application process is fun, original and addictive. Figuring I must have done something right in terms of the game's design I've decided to turn this into a full project whilst I'm waiting for a job in the industry. I will update this page on a more regular basis as I sort out the design, progress through the development and hopefully provide an installer for you to try out!
Original Concept Storyline
Deep in an underground facility scientists work tirelessly on creating true Artificial Intelligence. Unfortunately they've done too well and the robots have now become self aware!
Armed with this new way of thinking the robots now see humans as a threat and will now try to eradicate them.... in whatever way they can with whatever is attached to them. You need to escape!
Unfortunately the security systems won't let you out until you clear each room of the imposing robots!
Original Scratch Prototype
We were asked to generate a prototype using Scratch. You will need to download this in order to try out the original prototype.
